Target Audience: All attendees Objectives At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to: • discuss the management of pediatric ARDS, massive hemoptysis, and severe asthma in the ICU • explain the role of the pediatric pulmonologist in a cardiovascular ICU • identify strategies to approach discussions around tracheostomy and for planning effective transition out of the ICU The goal of the core is to support clinicians who are engaged in maintenance of certification activities by providing updates on subjects included in recertification requirements. The ATS Clinical Core Curriculum Symposia focus on key topics in the areas of Adult and Pediatric Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The topics are aligned with corresponding MOC Medical Knowledge modules. At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to: • describe the use of currently available wearable monitors in the evaluation and management of sleep disorders • discuss updates in the management of sleep disorders in pediatric and underserved populations • explain current approaches to managing hypersomnia, insomnia, and circadian rhythm disorders The goal of the core is to support clinicians who are engaged in maintenance of certification activities by providing updates on subjects included in recertification requirements.
