the uptake of evidence based care practices in the areas of pulmonary care, critical care, and sleep. Objectives At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to: • define implementation and describe its role in translational research and the delivery of evidence-based care • provide an example of how an implementation approach was used to overcome a challenge in the delivery of or adherence to evidence-based care for patients with pulmonary disease, critical illness, or sleep disorders • describe an implementation framework or strategy they could apply in their research or clinical care This Nursing Year in Review session will provide an overview of implementation (definitions, frameworks, and methodologies). This will be followed by presentations by nurse scientists from the fields of pulmonary disease, critical illness, and sleep.
